Q: HOW DOES VIRTUAL ORGANIZING WORK?
Virtual sessions take place over video or phone call where we work together in real time. I will get to know your goals and your vision for your home or space and learn what timeline will work best for you. After creating your personalized plan, I will guide you step-by-step as you declutter, organize, and create systems that suit your lifestyle. We work at your pace, you set the speed.
Q: WHAT DO I NEED FOR A VIRTUAL SESSION?
All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, and a stable internet connection. Besides that you need a will to work through the plan we created and a desire to create a space you feel calmer in.
Q: IS VIRTUAL ORGANIZING AS EFFECTIVE AS IN-PERSON?
Absolutely yes — many clients find virtual organizing just as effective. I believe it can be more effective IF you are willing to do the work and commit to the project. By doing the work yourself with professional guidance you are learning the tools to keep your systems maintained and even create your own systems in the future. By learning the process behind lasting organization you set yourself up for ongoing success.
Q: DO I NEED TO BUY ORGANIZING PRODUCTS BEFORE OUR SESSION?
No — we'll begin by working with what you already have. In fact, I strongly encourage you NOT to purchase any product before getting started. I always like to shop your space first, especially when tackling a whole house project.
If additional products would be helpful, I will recommend simple, practical options after the decluttering and organizing has been completed. There may be one or two exceptions to this rule, for example the pantry, but overall product comes last.
Q: WHAT KINDS OF SPACES CAN WE WORK ON?
We can work on a wide range of spaces including kitchens, closets, offices, kid's areas, living areas, garages, and whole-home systems. We will choose a focus that best supports your needs. If you are overwhelmed by your entire house I will create a plan space by space in the order of importance I believe will be most beneficial. I like to start each project with a quick, easy win to gain momentum!
